Backyard foraging

Hi! Does anyone else here like to forage and cook with foods from their own backyard? My children love to eat wood sorrel raw by itself, in salads, or added to cooked dishes like soup. The lemony flavor is delicious! Today, I'm making wild violet jam from the flowers that grow in my lawn. I use a recipe by Diane Rhoads. I'd love to hear of any recipes you'd like to share!

That's a great skill to have to know which wild plants are edible. I've heard of foraging for wild plants, but it's something that although interests me as a gardener and frugal person, I just haven't had the time to dive into yet. Good for you for making use of the free produce from your yard. I've never heard of wild violet jam.
