Do You Borrow Library Cookbooks?

I taught myself how to cook by borrowing library cookbooks and making Xerox copies of the recipes I liked. To this day, I still do. What is in my tote bag from the library this weekend? I have borrowed library cookbooks in the past. I like to browse through them and if I see one or two recipes I like I will usually take the book out. I also pull recipes from online but still like to have a book to follow a recipe or cooking tip from.

I grew up across the street from the library and the internet wasn't nearly as popular then. We borrowed a lot of cookbooks and were always trying new things. Most recipes we kept we copied by hand.

No. I have borrowed craft and art books, bit not cookbooks.

I learned from my Aunt. She teach me how to cook from her recipes. And my mother inlaw teach me how to baked and homemade food. They are the best people to learn from. Now i love cook n bake.

Yes you'll see me at the city library most of the time and If I can find cookbooks, why not? For my future reference I like to try some unique recipes for my family.

I rarely borrow the books from the library but starting next week I will be borrowing most frequently.

I haven't borrowed a library cookbook just yet. So far I've found Pinterest so handy that it has become my main resource for recipes.It seems like a good idea though, so I may browse cookbooks when I go to the library again.

No I don't, but I have an extensive collection of my own, so there is no need for me to get them from the library.

I have never borrowed a cookbook from the library; I never even thought of it before. I do think it would be a good idea though! I usually buy cookbooks or download them though.

I have when our family was on the Paleo diet. ALOT more cost effective.

I've never borrowed a cookbook before, but I definitely would do it. Cookbooks can be expensive and take up a lot of room. Granted, I don't use cookbooks often, so don't have a reason to keep them around. I tend to use Google and websites for recipes. I do own a couple of cookbooks that belonged to my grandfather, though.

No I don't, I didn't even know that I could borrow cookbooks from the library. I guess its because I can always go online and search for different recipes. I could check this out now that I know about this.

I honestly never realized libraries had cookbooks until I read this post.
Now I am interested.
I wonder if they have vegetarian ones.

I borrow cookbooks so I can test them out, so to speak. If I really like one, I'll buy it. But this has only happened once. Usually, there are only a few recipes in the book that I'm interested in. So a purchase would be unwarranted.
