This is very true for me. I don't play with what I eat. So I can understand the saying. A man will value a woman who knows how to cook more than the one who doesn't.

I have always heard this saying and I could agree more. I don't like cooking so I would appreciate a girlfriend who does

I used to trivialize this saying while growing up. But relating with the opposite gender as I grew older made to realize the truth in that saying. I am more attracted to ladies who cook well.

I believe this is highly true. One of the qualities that turn on a man is a woman who can cook. And vice versa

You can share your recipe and who know's maybe someday We get back to this thread and do your recipe.

I thought that this was true. "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach." I do consider myself quite the master chef; however, it did not stop my ex from cheating on me. So yeah, now I don't make such an effort so often.

I agree, and the saying is true, because men enjoy good food, and they will appreciate it even more if their partner goes out of their way to prepare something special for them. Who doesn't enjoy good food?

I do not think cooking is that big of a deal in relationship, but it definitely is important. I think it adds a great spark to relationship when one of the lovers can cook.

I feel like I do agree with this it is a way to show love to the people that you care about and if you love making food there is no better way to show you love someone then cooking.

These days, we often eat while watching TV and choose whatever satisfies our hunger. If my wife is kind and considerate, that's more than enough to warm my heart.

Notice you never hear "the way to a woman's heart is through her stomach" even when women can like food equally (or more than) men.

It's never implied that it's a man's place to cook, even though providing food at the early stages of dating IS an unbalanced norm.

This saying has slightly sexist roots, tbh, subtly implying that a woman should do domestic work for a man to earn his attraction or affection. So yeah it may be true, but in the way that a master can genuinely like his servants, still doesn't mean the roles are unbalanced.

At the end of the day it might even be slightly misandrist too, implying that men have little heart outside having their senses appeased.

People knows that men likes food, while some do not, but some of us do.
