I have a number of "old favorites" that I still use from cookbooks or printed copies. But for quite a while now, any time I go looking for new recipes or ideas, it's all online.

I love cooking from handwritten recipes from friends and family. I think that is the most fulfilling way to get recipes. I love the connection it gives you to the past and your family members. I also really enjoy writing out my own recipes on paper rather than a document on the computer. Even in college, I enjoyed sitting down to write recipes in a notebook. I would call my mom a lot and she would tell me her recipes and I would write them down. I think physical recipes are the way to go.

I do.

I prefer using physical copy books when possible.

I like flipping through the pages when cooking.

I don't like staying online for TOO long, even though I use the internet quite a bit.

The internet is more efficient. But I am finding that unless there is an absolutely critical/urgent need, life is often better spent just a little less "efficient".

I don't use a cook book. Prefer to just log on to YouTube and watch the tutorial then practice till perfection.

On my part of the world, recipes are transferred by word of mouth. So we are not used to using a copy book

I enjoy to underline words I don't know, important things that pops out to me and to be able to smell the book, LOL. I have read only 2 e- books my whole life. I love physical books. I have to have physical I'm very old school.
I am with you Kagrant89, I love physical books; unfortunately, I don't have as much space as I would like for all of them

In my family also we have a tradition, we make our personal cookbooks that stay in the family. 8)

Sorry for being old fashioned but ebooks can never replace paper books. Be it novels or recipe books.

I still use old-fashioned paper cookbooks. I find it easier to use a book than to print recipes from the internet. If I print from the internet, then I misplace the papers afterwards. I have a few books with trusted recipes that I turn back to all the time.
