All these pies that I have never tried. Oh boyCharlaigne wrote: ↑02 Jul 2018, 23:12 I like meat pies myself. Not really a fan of sweet pies, probably because I did not grow up eating them.
I like shepherd's pie/cottage pie which I do make somewhat regularly. Partner loves it too, but he eats too much.
Since I stopped eating wheat, I've not eaten pastry pies but I have found gluten-free pastry in the store. It's expensive so I don't normally buy it.
I like chicken pot pie too.
Re sweet pies: I have eaten apple strudel/apple pie which I did like. But not too much sugar :I just don't like overly sweet pies. Don't think it would be good for my blood sugar either.

Apple pie is greatMuhammad Haikal Birton wrote: ↑19 Apr 2024, 03:13 My favorite pie is apple pie. It's just so good! The apples are all soft and sweet, and the crust is flaky and buttery.

I didn't know savoury pie was a thing before now.Ambar Gill wrote: ↑23 Apr 2024, 17:53 I haven't really tried savoury pies so I don't know much about that side but I adore sweet pies. Pumpkin, apple and banana cream are among my favourites. Pumpkin and apple warmed up a bit, with a side of cool whipped cream? Heavenly.

Lol. This is so funny. But not gonna lie, I agreeCharmaine Mahlangu wrote: ↑23 Apr 2024, 23:32 I love the taste of pastry so it's safe to safe if you want me to love it , wrap it in pastry. This makes me fall in love with my favorite savory pie the classic Steak and Kidney. I love it , whoever came up with the blend was a legend . For a sweet pie it would have to be our Apple tart. Makes me happy.

All these sound yummyJennifer Cowhig wrote: ↑03 Oct 2023, 14:35 My favorite pie is probably banana cream unless cheesecake counts as pie, and then that always wins. I am pretty picky about the crust on my pie so I prefer things that can go in a graham cracker or cookie crust. I found this fun recipe for chocolate chip banana cream pie today which I can't wait to try. It's just a normal banana cream pie recipe except you line a pie plate with chocolate chip cookie dough and bake that for a few minutes to make a crust.
However, I do appreciate traditional fruit pies. Of all of them, Cherry is a winner in my book and I typically go for that over anything. Though I do love Apple or anything with fresh berries as well. I live near a place that has lots of wild raspberries and I love to use them in some mixed fruit pie.
I rarely have a savory pie, though I do enjoy the occasional chicken pot pie.
