Comfort food is something that I have never been able to identify with. I don't fond any comfort in food but I have a couple of foods or snacks that I would say I cannot live without. First, crisps and chips. That's all. Way too simple but I love preparing my own of late as opposed to buying.

It mostly depends on what I'm craving at the time but it's mostly junk food. Sorta like chocolate, ice cream, cake.

I don’t know but “nuts”. I really love to eat one when I am sad and feel alone. Eating one makes me busy, and it helps me get out of what I am negatively thinking.

It seems like most comfort food is super unhealthy (and all of my favorites are -- like mac and cheese or ice cream). I have found a few healthier options so I thought I would share those here.
1) "Mashed" cauliflower -- which can taste exactly like mashed potatoes, so it's a great sub.
2) "Bare" oatmeal -- and I can add in some frozen berries, sprinkle a few walnuts and just a dash of honey.
3) Veggie chili -- this is a great one -- I eat this all the time. I do put a bit of shredded cheese on top, or if you are non-dairy you can use an alt.
... Those are a few suggestions in case anyone is trying to be a bit healthier with their comfort food!

I wanted to add another healthy comfort food suggestion to this forum: Potatoes!
*Take a baked potato, and add some steamed broccoli on top, along with some diced tomatoes, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese. It's a great way to get some veggies into your diet while eating a favorite comfort food.

For me I eat ice cream and cookies. I develop a sudden sweet tooth when I feel down ! Super weird as I don’t even like to eat sugary foods usually.

Depends, it can be sweet or savoury. For savoury, noodle soup. For sweet, anything baked.

My comfort foods are chicken divan, beef stew, and hot chicken salad. I also love to eat ice cream or pie.
