Marsha JJ wrote: 30 Apr 2022, 19:34 It seems like most comfort food is super unhealthy (and all of my favorites are -- like mac and cheese or ice cream). I have found a few healthier options so I thought I would share those here.
1) "Mashed" cauliflower -- which can taste exactly like mashed potatoes, so it's a great sub.
2) "Bare" oatmeal -- and I can add in some frozen berries, sprinkle a few walnuts and just a dash of honey.
3) Veggie chili -- this is a great one -- I eat this all the time. I do put a bit of shredded cheese on top, or if you are non-dairy you can use an alt.
... Those are a few suggestions in case anyone is trying to be a bit healthier with their comfort food!
I haven't heard of mashed cauliflower before! Now that is something, alright. I should try this out and see if it is close to mashed potatoes since I love potatoes haha.

Home made Mac and cheese is one of the best comfort foods. Lately another comfort food I have been eating is cheese burgers.

totally mine too. but I would switch my ice-cream flavor to probably cookies and cream. That's so yummy.

it's the same way I feel but I just can not stop my own comfort, that would be unfair to myself
