I love cooking but sometimes I don't know how to cook a particular food,so I'll just do experiment as long as it gets cooked.
For other times, when I'm in the mood to base my cooking to a recipe book, then go.

I would like to say I follow the recipe to the letter, but every time I cook I realize I am missing an ingredient, so I just switch it for something similar, or just leave that bit out.

I am definitely a hybrid of both. When I make something new for the first time, I like perfectly following a recipe so that I know I made it to the best of my ability and gave the dish all I could to make it taste good. I have a gluten food allergy and everything looks, feels, develops and tastes when it doesn't have gluten. Not that this is a bad thing, but it makes for a bad thing when trying to experiment with a new gluten free recipe. That being said, I will cook it exactly like the recipe the first time and after that adjust it to my cravings.
Positively Seas the Day,

I would say I'm a hybrid of both. If it's an unfamiliar dish, I will follow the recipe the first time but after that I use what I like. I'm a big on ingredient substitution.

I'm more of an experimenter and cook in my own way. As long as I understand the dos and don'ts, I don't need a recipe unless I'm totally unaware of how to start. I also like trying different methods of cooking.

As much as I love trying new things, I think my patience of using recipe is not too strong, except its is a cultural delicacy that has to be prepared in a particular way.

I love experimenting and creating different recipes different from the ones people use.

I'm an experimenter. The main question I usually ask myself before cooking is, 'What's the worst thing that can result if I use my own recipe?' and basically it's nothing big. So I like trying new things and in the process of experimenting I learn a lot.

I have never ever followed a recipe in my life. I look to YouTube videos for inspiration and entertainment, but when it comes down to actually cooking, I make whatever comes naturally to me.

I definitely like to experiment when I can, however a lot of times it does not turn out well :P I find the process of cooking and baking more fun than eating the end result, so even when things don't turn out too well, I can at least say I had fun doing it!

I'm an experimenter. I don't like recipes unless it's a dish I'm totally not familiar with. Otherwise, I like trying my own ways until it turns out to be what I like.

I don't experiment but I dnt follow the recipe exact but I apply my own mind to eat as well. If you already know something is better and you are sure about it. Just use it
