I use recipes. Sometimes after trying one I'll make some changes.

It depends on what I am cooking. If it is baking I stick with recepie. Otherwise, I will tweak a little.

I don't have any particular way of cooking. My cooking depends on what I want to cook and also whom am cooking for.I change my style from time to time.

I do both. I follow the recipe for new dishes especially baking. But for everything else I tweak it when necessary.

But sometimes I try new things I see on instagram only when they're tempting

YES!!! We are kindred spirits.
Cooking and serving food ,is indeed a work of art and though i am not the greatest artist I take comfort in the truth that this work shall soon be consumed and a better take its place.

Those dishes that elder family members have instilled in us, do indeed present a cozy feeling each time they are flawlessly recreates, and strengthens that invisable yet strong family connection.

I always prefer to cook on my own, recipes are great guides but it seems I never have everything or I forget something at the store. So improvisation is best for me!

I love this, particuarly because it is how I feel about cooking as well! I also follow recipe guides when I've never cooked the dish before, but I do really enjoy throwing meals together with what is left in my refridgerator the day before I go grocery shopping--it makes for some interesting creations! Thank goodness I always keep my spice cabinet stocked lol.

I mostly cook by “eyeballing” the ingredients needed- often a necessity because my kids always lose my measuring cups and spoons! Haha

Since I mainly prepare staple meals, ones that I always cook, I usually go off memory. Occasionally, I experiment.

I first learn a basic recipe to see what it should look/taste like. Then I experiment with it.
