I personally only watched one or two seasons. I enjoyed it for that amount of time, but the longer that the show went on, I heard a lot of mixed reviews about it. I basically lost interest, but I wonder.. is it worth finishing?

I enjoyed the tv series, but I have not read the books. I only recently discovered that the series was based on a book series. I am excited to go and find them.

It seems all replies are very old. I'll personally recommend everyone to revisit the vampire diaries cus it's the most interesting movie I've ever watched. I finished all series, even the originals. Now I'm moving with legacies.

I've watched the series but I ended up quitting midway because of the changing main characters. I haven't read the books but I hope they're much better.

I am working on getting the books. I have not read them yet but I have watched the series many times. I absolutely love Damon.

Really enjoyed the show even if the last season or two had some questionable choices.

My main curiosity with the books is the beings not in the show. The books have angelic beings, kitsune (fox people), and phantoms. Apparently, Elena is a mean girl in the books though. Don't think I'd like that as much. Nina Dobrev did such a good job in the show. The whole cast was great.

P.S. if you miss Nina Dobrev her movie Love Hard is a pretty good romantic comedy.

Vampire Diaries is a bit teenager-ish but definitely a fun watch. Specially because of Damon

I haven't read the books, I actually tried to read one of them once but found it so boring that I didn't even finish it. But the tv series is so good! One of my comfort series :)

Hi! I have not read the books. Only watched the tv series. I watched all of the seasons, mostly because I cannot start a series without watching until the end. 😂 It was okay in my opinion.

I like the show, even though I think it went on for too long, but it was a really fun show and they did some really good things with some of the characters.

I couldn’t agree more. I watched it a few years ago with an ex-girlfriend, but I probably wouldn’t watch it nowadays.

The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Legacies were all good up to a certain point before they started getting ridiculous, and I never finished watching any of them.
