(1) The setting of camp half blood is not according to the book
(2) How Percy knew of him been Son of Poseidon.

Any one that has read this book with any other discrepancy noticed???
They get even worse with the next movie! They actually resurrect Kronos! It makes absolutely no sense.

He makes them heroes! I'm sure a lot of kids would find that empowering! He's also bringing in other issues in his books!

Third :percy discovered he was a son of Poseidon in a lot less time than he was supposed to and fourth: the events were not nearly same as in the book
I couldn't believe they made them seventeen. It even messes with the prophesy!

I completely agree! I didn't have anything against the cast but I hated that they changed the story so much!

It also had amazing characters and dialogue. I loved that it was funny and engaging at the same time. It was just perfect!

The movies were such disappointments. I didn't expect for them to change so much things from the books. Here's to hoping the series would follow faithfully with the book seeing as how Rick Riordan will be keeping a close eye on the production!

I think that the producers of the movie did a great job but their only fault was that most people who have not read the book will not understand very much unlike those that read the book. The book provided readers with extra details

The book is so interesting and incredible, it's a little upsetting they couldn't make it as good in the movie. But overall it's an awesome book; 10/10

I loved this book! It was a perfect first book of a series and set up the characters and setting nicely.

The PJO book the lightning thief is a fun and adventurous, Greek mythology Book :D
It is loaded with informations and good for one to gain them.
Safe for kids to read. :)
Tho the movie isn't really perfect, since it has a lot of mistakes..missing stuff, that’s why i go for books first, but that’s not the point, i give the book 4.5/5 really

Yes, the film and the book has a lot of discrepancies.

Annabeth had different hair color.

I forgot the other discrepancies but I do agree that the book and film has wide differences especially the Sea of Monsters.

It's been maybe 7 years since I watched and read the series though

I didn’t really like the book, but loved the movie. There are a lot of discrepancies between the two. But aren’t all movies that are based on books? I haven’t seen one movie that had the exact same things in them as in the books. Except if I read rhe screenplay.

I have read the books many times. Riodan is one of my favorite authors. The Percy Jackson movies were not correct. The movies actually made me extremely mad because of the massive differences.
