I wouldn't really pick between an Anime and a Manga. As noted anime are produced slower than a manga but I would say that its wort the wait. but some anime in my opinion are just best read as a manga.

Personally, I would like to watch anime. That’s my personal preference. I read manga when the series does not have any action episodes. I feel one can truly enjoy action sequences in anime rather than manga. But manga is way better in terms of progression of the story and takes less time to finish the scenes. The anime version usually prolongs a simple scene as well. They stretch the scene for many episodes. Also, one has to deal with a lot of fillers in between. The fillers sometimes come during the most intense moments in the plot. Some anime series have way too many filler episodes. Example: Naruto. Though One piece has way too many episodes, they have less fillers in comparison to Naruto, but then they stretch the plot for way too many episodes.

Both have unique charms. Anime brings stories to life with visuals and sound, while manga allows for a more intimate connection with the narrative. It's like choosing between two different yet equally captivating art forms.

It may seem paradoxical, but I’m not too fond of manga. My love for books does not extend to manga. In this area specifically, I prefer watching anime’s than reading manga.
