Icon Movie and Book recommendation

Hi! I would like you to recommend horror or suspense/mystery books and/or movies. But one that is out of the cliche/common. I've read/watched the vast majority of current content and I'm looking for something that genuinely terrifies or surprises me. What do you recommend?

Hi! I would like to recommend a movie Clue (1985). It is a good mistery movie with great plot twist at the end. There were four murders and the film shows what could have been and what really happened, true to the title.
