In a only magic battle, I think Dumbledore may win but not sure.
I really like both characters.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I honestly think Gandalf is way more helpful and more involved than Dumbledore was. I'm pretty sure that Dumbledore would win. However, I am a bit biased since I do prefer the Lord of the Rings.João Ramos wrote: ↑28 Dec 2023, 09:32 Gandalf is much more proactive and helpful than Dumbledore. The great wizard of the HP universe almost always seems like an eccentric sage who doesn’t want to get his hands dirty.

Both are difficult choices for me. Both are different categories for me - one high-fantasy and the other low-fantasy. But I doubt he would be able to destroy the Ring in a sec - he had too much burden an guilt to carry. Both are completely different universes, so I would not like to compare and choose.Carlos Mata Saenz wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 13:53 Pufff, difficult. I mean, Gandalf uses a sword. That’s pretty cool. But Dumbledore can fly with a broomstick and can even use his magic to appear whenever he wants. Literally, with Dumbledore, the Lord of the rings would last 1 min. He gets the ring, appears in Mordor and destroys the ring!
In a only magic battle, I think Dumbledore may win but not sure.
I really like both characters.
But, by personal choice, I would go with Gandalf coz I like Severus and Sirius in the HP universe.
