The first season was truly a masterpiece, they the plotline was actually so good. But the writers rushed the second season probably because the writers' amd actors' strike was gonna come soon and they didn't want to delay. They butchered it though. The show got cancelled because one of the main writers was the front runners of the strike, which just makes all of it sad

I was really excited for the show, I am a big fan of Ben Barnes and the Darkling was my favourite Shadow and Bone character so yeah, I was ecstatic for it. Only for them to grab canon by the throat and throw it through the window??? For NO reason??? Like, I get it that they wanted to add the Crows, but did they have to absolutely destroy their stories?? And adding Wylan (my favourite crow and such an underrated character) only in the second season? Like he isn't a main protagonist?
I must admit I liked the "ending" Alina got in season two and would've loved to see more of her being powerful and out of the Darkling's manipulations (I said I liked him, never said he was good), but it sucked that they literally grabbed the 2nd and 3rd book, made a weird mash up with Crooked Kingdom and Nikolai's stories and then.. cancelled the show!!?? Ugh, I was so sad, Netflix literally will take anything good and cancel it and keep renewing the bad stuff...
Also, just because it wasn't 100% loyal to the books doesn't mean the show wasn't good, it deserved a third season, or at least a Crows spin-off.. T-T

I was also disappointed in the show. I loved the “Shadow and Bone” and the “Six of Crows” series. When watching the show I actually loved some of the elements, I liked that everything looked correct, I liked how well they were originally fitting the Shadow and Bone story, but then they introduced the Six of Crows cast in and basically just used those characters for a whole new storyline and then I hated it. I usually think of adaptations as inspired by a book series, but I hated that they combined them.
