I tried to watch it twice but was always interrupted by something. Your review makes me want to watch it again. Thanks!

I loved this movie as well! Funnily enough, I only recently discovered that Hugh Jackman is indeed not American, but Australian! I've also seen him in The Prestige and he just does such a spectacular job playing Americans he had me completely fooled! Admittedly, I have also not seen any of his interview clips before so I only recently realized how he sounds outside his movies haha.

I like the movie. It has catchy music and is fun.my favorite song is “This is Me” and it has a good message. I just struggle a bit with this movie, not because I dislike it but because of the premise. I don't think we should be glorifying PT Barnum as he was actually a bad dude( He was a bit of a scam artist who exploited people and abused animals). Maybe he was a product of his time but I also feel like Disney could have fictionalized this a bit more as they rewrite Barnum’s legacy to fit the narrative a sit seems to glorify him a bit. I can watch it If I don't try to analyze it and can separate the music from the true story so mostly listen to the soundtrack

One of the best musicals in modern day cinema. It had everything. Acting, dancing, drama, and race. I loved everything about it
