Which movie ruined a good book?

The Twilight Series as books weren't my favourite anyway but the films definitely didn't live up to expectation.

I don't really have expectations for movie adaptations, and I think of books and movies as existing parallel to each other, there's no intersection, but. Well, I watched the Harry Potter movies first, just one though, actually, but then I read the books, and the setting was just dark, it's not as bright as I would've imagined a world of magic could be, and the movie ruined that for me.

I think it is the harry potter series. It is good when you watch it without reading the books. But if you have read the books. You surely know that they ruined it.

I totally agree. The cutting of the scenes took away the intricate details that the book gave. I was really expecting everything to be incorporated in the movie, I was a bit disappointed.

The Lovely Bones movie was a total hack job of such a touching book. I would have preferred a more accurate page to screen adaptation other than the moving around of scenes. It was jarring for me after having read the book.

Another was American Sniper by Chris Kyle. The movie, directed by Clint Eastwood, was also a hack job of a movie. There were things in the book that were just plain wrong in the movie. I still LOVE the book and Chris Kyle was an American hero.

I was eager to see the adaptation of the Thriller "The Lost Symbol" into a movie ir serie. But it actually ruined my expectations, seeing that I found more thrilling when I was reading the book than in serie. I also have plunge myself into the story bas if I was part of it. And it was completely different from the TV Serie.

Veronica Roth is an awesome writer but after they made movie of the Divergent series and all that came after they didn't do justice to her, that movie didn't bring forth the emotions, the thrill and drama we felt as we read those books. Totally ruined it.

It was written by a well-known author in our country for teens. The title is "His into Her," I just couldn't believe how dissatisfied so many people were to learn that the book had been adapted into a film at the time. Everything went awry, and it's as if the producers were responsible for the destruction of the author's magnificent work.
