I totally agree. The cutting of the scenes took away the intricate details that the book gave. I was really expecting everything to be incorporated in the movie, I was a bit disappointed.

Another was American Sniper by Chris Kyle. The movie, directed by Clint Eastwood, was also a hack job of a movie. There were things in the book that were just plain wrong in the movie. I still LOVE the book and Chris Kyle was an American hero.
