I hated P.S. I love you's movie adaptation and Percy Jackson's as well. They are such beautiful books and have been horribly adapted into senseless movies! :/

Blood and Chocolate

I saw the movie first and enjoyed it so then read the book
This usually allows me to still enjoy the movie
Not this time
This movie sucked!!!

Not saying that Vampire Academy is the best book or the best series but the movie just didn't justify it. When you read a book, you get a certain impression but when you see the movie...everything just doesn't fit and this one totally didn't match up at all.

I think all the movies of Jean Christophe Grange's books are bad.
It's not just enough for getting the feeling like you get in the book.

Kristen Stewart ( who played Bella) made me want to gouge my eyes out from her horrible acting and shoot myself in the foot for having bought the DVD set.
I have to agree. I didn't like the movies at all, and a major reason is I couldn't stand Kristen Stewart. I think she is the worst actress, very wooden. She made the movies painful to watch. I still went to the sequels....had to take my kids, who wanted to see them.

I'll admit that there are quite a few books that were turned into movies that I hate. I love Jurassic Park but if I had read the book first I would have hated it!!!! The two movie adaptations that bother me the most, was Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. I could go into numerous reasons why both of those adaptations were ridiculous but I wont even bother. The amount of dissapointment I suffered watching those movies has been hard to recover from...
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

The 1951 film version of Native Son was pretty bad. Richard Wright was well into his 40s and was cast in the lead role as the Bigger Thomas character who was in his late teens. Lots of overacting and emoting, the actors/actresses were not well-developed, and overall it was not a stellar production.

Hard to believe that such a phenomenal book would result in such a horrible adaptation.

Eat, Pray, Love. The book to me was about her discovering herself and they turned it into a Hollywood Romance. Also The Devil Wears Prada. They softened Miranda Priestly's character in the movie.

Percy Jackson and Dracula have great material but the scriptwriters and directors seemed to have not bothered to read the books at all. And they're continuing with Percy Jackson! Those kids are adults now, aren't they?

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. They changed the WHOLE plot.
Percy Jackson. Apparently Rick Riordan offered to write the script but the producers DIDN'T take the OFFER.
Beautiful Creatures. I actually enjoyed the book, but, I could NOT stand the movie.

The Hobbit. They took an innocent children's book, and turned it into 3 grueling, Darker & Edgier action porn flicks.

Sahmoun2778- I agree with you with the Percy Jackson movies, then they made a sequel and I thought it was just as bad unfortunately because my sister and I grew up with those books and was disappointed. Plus I think the twilight movies were just plain horrid, I read the first book to give it a chance but maybe it's written for young adult audiences and I'm just...mature for my age?
