Nicholas Sparks' movies are always WAY BETTER than his books.
I struggle with why so many of his stories make it to film, because I am just not a fan of him as a writer. However, I will say, his book "The Lucky One" was very good, as was the movie. Enjoyed both immensely. "Safe Haven" was an ok book, better movie. "The Notebook" was a terribly depressing book, but an enjoyable film.

I have to agree that for Gone Girl the movie was better.Greyskies2446 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2016, 23:55 I feel like Gone Girl was way better than its literary adaption. Though they were both pretty boring.

I didn’t know that Psycho was from a novel ! Disappointing as it may be, I would like to get my hands on a copy if just to have read it once.AliceofX wrote: ↑14 Aug 2017, 19:20 Fight Club and Psycho were both disappointing reads when compared to how great the movies were. Also Twilight comes to mind. The first movie I actually kind of like, but that might just be me being a Catherine Hardwicke fan. The book on the other was almost impossible to get through after the first half was over.

You're 100 percent right, the books for some reason are not that good when compared to the movies.Brandi Noelle wrote: ↑16 Oct 2017, 19:17 I hope no one gets too angry when I say...
