As mentioned above, I had no idea "Girl Interupted" was a book. I very much enjoyed the movie, and can relate to girls due my disability. But I am very excited there is a book and plan to read it very soon! :)

I've watched the Martian and found out there was a book and was actually more funny. Then Ender's Game which is absolutely interesting. The questions i have on the film have answered by the book.

It makes me excited especially if I love the movie. It would also drive me bonkers because I love to read the book before I see the movie. More often than not I would read the book before the movie because the book is more than likey better than the movie because you can put more details and thoughts inside a persons hide in a book than in a movie.

Finding out there's a book is always exciting, but I'd rather read a book and find out there's a movie

I watched the hunger games before reading the books. The movie was so good but the books were way better. I was done with the whole trilogy in less than a week!

I love when this happens. I too watched Girl Interrupted and didnt know it was a book
If a movie is great most likely the book is even better.

yes . I was watching the 1947 movie the black narcissus about the nuns in India. As soon as I found out it was based on a novel, I was quick to go to the library and find the book! The 1939 book The black narcissus by the author Rumor Godden. I feel that I loved the movie so much i was interested. Otherwise being such an old book, i don't think I would have come actress it otherwise. In the end, the book was just as good! Thumbs up

This happened with me couple of times and I absolutely loved it. It helps us to understand about the book in depth or in a way that the actors are not able to display.

Red Sparrow is due out soon and it's not something I would watch in the cinema. I've just discovered there is a book so I'm going to read that instead.

I've just seen a film called The Bookshop, which I didn't realise (because I didn't read the blurb properly) until afterwards is based on a book by Penelope Fitzgerald. The film was OK (if you've been looking at other threads, you'll know I've been spoilt lately) but it's made me certain that I definitely want to read more by this author.

I experienced that when I watched a movie '13 Reasons Why' and then realized there was a book on that by Jay Asher. Though for this particular one the movie was more interesting and realistic as opposed to the book. I just wonder if this principle applies in similar cases.

I love watching movies and then finding out that it has a book. It helps me to know more about things that I was not able to figure out in the movie. I found a lot of movies and books about them later.

It's always hilarious when I find out there is a book based on the movie because at times I start loving the characters and wish to know much more about them. For ex: Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children had Miss Peregrine who enticed me but movie didn't focus on her much.
