What actors should play as book characters?

Post by TimeKeeperApprentice »

There was a similar topic to mine but I have another idea. If a book you like turned into a Major Motion Picture, what actors should play as the characters? Write down the books you want to become a movie and what characters should play as them. If the book is already a movie and you wanted different actors as the characters write them down too. They don't have to be all the characters, maybe just the Main characters(The most people important to the story). (You could include yourself if your a great actor/actress and know you character like the back of you hand :D)

A book I want to become movie
Breath a Ghost Story by Cliff McNish
Jack-(No idea xD)
Jack's Mother-Brooke Shields
Ghost Mother-Sigourney Weaver

That's about it, the books I read mostly have kids in it and I only know about a handful of Child Actors/Actresses.
Au revoir!!!:D

Idl like to see House On The Borderland made into a movie. Theres only one main character, Patrick Stewart would be good as the old man.

I would LOVE to see the John Corey series of books by Nelson DeMille made into a series.

John Corey - Josh Holloway
Kate Mayfield - Jessica Biehl

"11.22.63" by Stephen King. I would like to cast Josh Hartnett as Jake and Viggo Mortessen as the dying chef. As for Sandy, i see Sandra Bullock as ideal (albeit made to look younger). :D

I think that Robert Downy Jr and Jude Law do an incredible job of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. :)

MY Viggo is NOT THAT OLD. Darnit.

I'd like to see Tim Burton direct Graham Greene's "Doctor Fischer of Geneva".
Stiv Bators, Sid Vicious, Gregg Ginn, Iggy Pop, and Lester Bangs as Third Leg in Jon Longhi's "The Rise and Fall of Third Leg". And yeah, I know that most of those guys are dead.
How perfectly goddamned delightful it all is, to be sure.

^ Have you seen Viggo in The Road? He can certainly be made up to be old and thats why i think he would make a fantastic chef for that book. :D

My missus reckons she would like to see J.Depp as Heathcliff ( she would want to see him in anything really ) and I would like to have seen Liz Hurley as Cathy ( a few years ago admittedly ) but I don't think her acting abilities would be up to the job, nice eye candy though. :D

I always thought that Liam Neeson would make an excellent Harry Bosch from the Michael Connelly books. :D

Yep. He was still hot.
I pictured the chef as more of a James Caan type. But hey, if you want a hot chef, more power to ya! :)

I think I have to go with Tralala on this one. I think James Caan would make a better chef as well. Although I can see Viggo in the role as well. :D
