Wicked definitely counts. Also, how could you not like Wicked? It's one of my favorite musicals, maybe my most favorite. I also liked it much better than the book. The book was interesting, but pretty depressing. The musical is a lot more fun, and it gives Elphaba a more or less happy ending, even though we don't really know much about it.

I’m not going to lie I am a huge musical fan. I think it’s probably because I’m a dancer/dance teacher so it’s pretty much my whole life. I’m headed to NYC in a few weeks and I can’t wait to take in as many shows on Broadway as I can!

The Greatest Showman as well as Hamilton are both excellent examples.

I usually don't watch any musicals. They are not my cup of tea. I see many good recommendations in the comments, definitely gonna watch some and see if my mind changes.

They are hit and miss for me. Some of them make sense. Moulin Rogue being turned into a musical was smart because it is a spectacle and already a musical. They just needed to adapt it to stage. Groundhog Day the musical? I don’t think we needed that. Just come up with an original idea.

I dont like Hollywood musicals. In Bollywood most of the movies are musical, but I am not complaining as nothing even comes close to the quality of music Bollywood produces or at least used to produce.
Imagine if we had no secrets, no respite from the truth. What if everything was laid bare the moment, we introduced ourselves?

I know one; it is local music of Ethiopia in a local language called "Amharic".It is adapted from one of the best novels in the country "Fikir eske mekabir" it means something like..." Love until death"-It is "Romeo and Juliet" of Ethiopia. The music is called "Mar eske tuaf"; It was played by the most celebrated musician of Ethiopia Teddy Afro.

Musicals are very emotional movies. I like them because most of the time they tell a life changing history.
