Brian Regan, on the other hand, is just a good old-fashioned stand-up comic. You understand everything the first time around, but it's just as funny every other time you hear it. Much of it is my family's own daily thoughts except spoken aloud by someone with actual talent. I grew up on him.
It feels sacrilegious to not say Brian's my favorite, but I have to admit, John Mulaney may have inched ahead of him. I like him for many of the same reasons, but something about him just speaks to me.
