Unexpected Tears

Post by Nym182 »

What book or movie unexpectedly moved you to tears?

I can usually predict that any time there is an animal in a story that I don't think will survive I'll be in for some heart ache. (I have cried at car commercials because they were illustrating how long the car last's by relating it to the life of the owner's dogs)

So it surprised the crap out of me when I started crying while watching The Time-Traveler's Wife. I had read the book and didn't get super emotional, but I cried big ole' tears when my mom and I went to see it in theaters.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” HST
