Do you enjoy different genres in film vs. books?
Just curious to see if there are others who typically enjoy different genres in film vs. books.
For example, I love comedies in the form of film, but don't really enjoy this genre of book.
For me, facial expressions and tone of voice are really important in comedy and I think this is lost when in written form.
Do you agree? What are your thoughts? Anyone have similar examples?

I'm not really fond of sci-fi books. A lot of the futuristic imagery is in watching the different worlds. For example, I love Star Wars, but it would never feel the same way if it was a book. Reading descriptions of the technology, the clothing, the different races is something really different, and it doesn't really feel as realistic as watching it.

I am absolutely the same. It takes me forever to slog through a nonfiction book. But documentaries (especially about crime and serial killers...) are some of my favorite entertainment.igbstar333 wrote: ↑21 May 2020, 09:04 I agree! I'm not a huge fan of non fiction books but I'd definitely watch a documentary or historical film.
