What do movies do better than books?

I think something that movies do well, and books cannot replicate, is the musical aspect or soundtracks. In a book, you'll rarely get the profound experience of associating a specific song or musical number with a character or scene.

But there are some movies that are better than the books. I haven’t watched it, but I heard The Godfather and Jaws are way better as movies. Almost everyone has heard of Shrek, but most people don’t know that it was originally a book. Obviously that was more popular. Most Disney movies, like Cinderella and Beauty of the Beast, are better just because the stories are so short.
