obvs i used to watch Disney and love the princesses, but now I am more aware of the sexism behind it I cannot support any of the characters except maybe elsa? cuz she don't need no man- however, the beauty standards of what men stereotypically want are still smothering her continuing the line of body consciousness in young people.

Mulan! no question here.
I loved the movie and I still do but the new live action one disappointed me so badly. Such a shame what they did! For me one of the best parts was that Mulan wasn't a speacially skilled fighter at first and that she had to learn just like everyone else and they totally changed that in the new movie and I hate it!
Sorry, but I have really strong feelings about that ^^'

My main princesses were Ariel, Jasmine, and Belle (in no particular order). I would change my mind every time I grew up little by little till today:)

Mine is Belle! I always liked how she was so into books and very independent.

Mine has always been Pocahontas. There are evidently some problematic things about the portrayal in this film but I have always loved her character.
