Do you remember the book Gone with the Wind? The book or the movie? I fell in love with the story in either format.
What was your favorite scene? Does anyone remember the last scene in the movie, when Rhett left Scarlett and walked out the door. Even though, in the book Scarlett ends up going back to Tara. I thought she put herself in that end situation after she messed up once too many times. What are your thoughts?

I loved both the book and the movie. I especially recollect the fire and the last scenes. Even though Scarlett had it coming, I didn't like that he left her. There was a squeal by another author, "Scarlett ", which I have read ages ago, but it wasn't as good as the original.

I love the book and the movie. I laughed when Rhett left her because Scarlett is the ultimate narcissist but I love her anyways. If my son had been a girl we were going to name her Scarlett. I just got a new copy of the book recently without the movie cover. If anyone hasn't read Scarlett (the sequel) and the companion book Rhett Butler's People, I highly recommend both. Scarlett starts right where Gone With the Wind leaves off and Rhett Butler's People is about Rhett's family and how he grew up and the mystery behind what happened on that buggy ride to cause him to "not be recieved ".

Forgot to add what my favorite scene is: for some reason I always laugh at Miss Pittypat when she is going to leave to go to back to Tara and she is worried about leaving Scarlett and Melanie without a chaperone and the Dr. says "this is a war, not a garden party".

I watched Gone with the Wind for the first time in 5th grade and it blew me away. I love the line where she says, "If I have to lie, steal, cheat, or kill, as God as my witness I'll never be hungry again."

Of course I remember Gone With the Wind! It is hard to forget a masterpiece like that. I’m speaking of the book of course. I mean, the movie was okay, but it had nothing on the book. I did not appreciate that they cut out things that effected Scarlett’s character, and...well, books are just always better!

Read the book 3 times. My most memorable part is when Melanie allows Scarlett back into her house party after all that has happened. Melanie seems so forgiving and honest to me.
