For me, it would be 'The Clown' from IT. That creature had a creepy and sinister vibe to it. For the ones who have read the novel, its depiction was brilliantly executed.

I think IT from The Clown is a good choice, but I also like how The Demogorgon from Stranger Things came out.

Pardon the pun, but I'm a sucker for vampires. I'd classify them as creatures because they eat people and are "undead". Really powerful creatures!

Before I even opened this forum, I thought of the clown from 'It'. The character was so well pirtrayed that it is no wonder so many people are scared of clowns.

Chucky. I can't explain why either haha. Among all horror creature he's the one who has history before dying and even becoming a killing doll he managed to have a wife and kids.

I agree. That clown was kind of cute but he was scary as ... I hated and loved him

I have always loved vampires, especially the more gentlemanly vampires like Dracula and Louis and Lestat from 'Interview with the Vampire'. There is something very seductive about vampires despite them being ruthless killers and undead creatures.

For me it woul be werewolves and vampires. Both have a hidden side to them. Although both can be very frightenening, their 'people's persona' is usually super classy and very family orientated.

I'm not a lover of horror movies. However, my favourite horror character would be vampires and werewolves. I loved the ones in Teen Wolf so much.

Werewolves always have a special place for me, especially Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman's) and the Underworld wolves.
Stand alone creatures, I love Annabelle/Malthus. The creepiness of Annabelle as just a doll is classic. Couple that with the design of the demon that actually controls her, perfection. The original Annabelle when the main character gets chased by Malthus to the elevator. Chills, every time.
I haven't seen many talk about it, but a great creature feature is The Ritual on Netflix. If you haven't seen it, I highly, highly recommend it. Most creature features, at least for me, fall short in character design and the creatures aren't as scary as they are built up to be. This is not the case with the beast from The Ritual, it is creepy through and through and unlike any other creature I've seen in a movie.

That, for me, ought to have been that noxious beast from the horror movie
Gremlin. But that creepy creature is only the most horrorful, and not my favourite. My favourite would be “La Bête du Gévaudan” (The Beast of Gévaudan) from the episode “La Dernière Chimère” (The Last Chimera) in season five of Teen Wolf. Meeting that beast anywhere, day or night, is what any would call pure horror.

Seductive—that, they definitely are. But that’s not what’s piquing my surprise. It’s I’ve never thought of vampires and anything were—werewolves, werecoyotes, etc—or even triads, as creatures of horror. They come on screen to do their thing, creepy or sinister as the case may be, but they don’t ever come close to making me sweat. But try those scare-gods in
Prey and
The Predator, and you get horror served cold.

Absolutely! Pennywise from IT has my vote too. But that is still not my favorite. I don't have a favorite for horror creatures. Let's say the most horrific horror creature in movies for me is the clown - Pennywise from IT.

Chucky is one of the only larger than life horror personalities that is still going. It'd be nice if Megan can build a worthwhile legacy over time too. I also like to see unique creatures such as the Graboids from Tremors. The Dread Doctors from Teen Wolf were fun. Vampires have so much flexibility as characters. Like in The Vampire Diaries, the idea of the "humanity switch", that they can turn it off and suddenly they're almost a different person, is sort of genius writing wise.
