These days, I think Marvel studios is running out of content. They now produce very average shows and movies with similar storylines. They even go as far as changing the narratives they once established.
For instance, the old movies say captain America was the only one who survived the super soldier experiment. Later, in the falcon and winter soldier show, there are many more super soldiers apparently who were hidden from the world

Do you think something like this is a decline or just paving the way for better things?

Yes, I think so. The movies no longer feel fresh and seem to tread the same water at this stage. I recall how new and exciting Iron Man and even the first Avengers movie felt when it was released. It is especially hard for me to see how the MCU will ever beat the Infinity Gauntlet arc as that is the quintessential MCU story.

There are at least a few one offs that I am looking forward to - name the third entries of both Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Yes, Marvel fell off. They've stopped producing quality movies. They're now producing mediocre ones.

Look at Thor (2011) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017) compared to Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). I don't know if they are "running out of content" (as you put it). But there is (definitely) a decline in quality.

I think it was fine until they had each new bad guy be 10 times more powerful than the last. And somehow none of the bad guys ever fought over power. You would think that thanos would have fought the dark elves at some point. Or that Ego wouldn't have waited to go eliminate potential threats to his reign(like thanos).

I have to agree. The first movies were the best!

Yes marvel did. Movie quality, Fx and script it's such a shame tho.

Not to mention the overuse and abuse of visual effects artists.

Well, I'm not sure but I hear a lot of people say that. I don't blame Marvel though, guess it's always difficult to come up with new contents.

I think that Marvel still has a lot to offer, but they need to focus on improving the quality of their content to maintain their reputation as a leading force in entertainment.
