If you ask me, the one horror film that left a scar on my heart was Misery. Kathy Bates gives a terrifying performance in this movie as Annie Wilkes, and every time I look at an image or see a clip of her, I still get scared. This is especially the case during the "hobbling" scene, where I cringe no matter how many times I have seen the sledgehammer go down on Paul Sheldon's ankles. It is made worse by Paul's screams of agony, which still haunt me.

A Quiet Place'' is the scariest horror movie. A Quiet Place is a 2018 American post-apocalyptic science fiction horror film directed by John Krasinski and written by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods
