Comfort movie or comfort TV show?

Post by Saima Rahman »

What do you prefer as your go-to? A comfort movie watched many many times? Or a comfort show with all of its seasons on repeat?
I personally like to switch between the two depending on how much time I have and what mood I am in.

The Good Place has been my comfort show lately. I love the humor and the hope that persists in the face of overwhelming odds. When I was younger I had a comfort movie, but now I prefer putting a tv series on repeat.

Right now, I have a comfort TV show which is pretty new, but I consider it a comfort watch because whenever I think about it, I can't resist rewatching it from start to finish. The show 'Arcane' on Netflix always makes me feel good on a bad day. I just love the story, art style and music choices. It's so unique and I really enjoy a well-received adaptation of video games.

Depends on my mood.. My go-to TV shows, especially at night when I just want to watch a sitcom or two, is Friends or The Office. Movies, especially if I'm feeling unwell, are anything Disney or a musical or any movie made from a Jane Austen book, she is my favorite author & there are a lot of good adaptations.

For me I would very much prefer a Comfort TV show to a comfort movie. This also depends on the amount of time that I have. But if we consider all things equal, I would choose a tv show.

I'm not much of a sitcom watcher but I can understand why some would be great comfort watches, like That 70s Show or Seinfeld.

A comfort TV show for me. They are longer and often because they have so many episodes you forget bits when you re view.

Comfort movie because it's short and quick and the familiarity of every scene and dialogue is so soothing

Comfort movie would be the Back to the Future series, they're just wholesome. For TV shows I'd go with the Star Trek TNG
