War movies

Post by Nimra Kiran »

What are your favorite War movies?

I need suggestions regarding movies or documentaries which involve the central theme of War, be it any kind of War.
For instance, there was a movie named All Quiet on the Western Front, released in 2022. It's based on the events of World War I.
Furthermore, there are so many movies on the topic of World War II. I need suggestions which include other Wars like that of France, Spain, etc.

Okay, one of the best war movies I have ever watched is "Woman King" (2022). It centers around a young girl called Nawi who refuses to get married and rather chooses to become a female warrior, thereby forfeiting her womanly rights. In the long run, she starts to view Izogie, an experienced female warrior, as a mentor and friend. Her strength and resilience were tested in the war against the European slave traders.

Saving Private Ryan is a 1998 Spielberg film about WWII which I have vivid memories of.
I also loved War Horse which is another Spielberg film about a horse in WWI. I read the book first and thought the film did a good job bringing it to life. I’m very interested in depictions of animals doing jobs and as I love horses I was curious about this. If you can’t tell, I enjoy a Spielberg film.

My favorite war movies is 300. 300 is a 2006 American epic historical war action film based on the 1998 comic book series of the same name by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley. King Leonidas and 300 Spartans fight against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. It is very epic movie
