I actually sobbed when reading A Thousand Splendid Suns. It was one of the most gut-wrenching novels I've ever read and the emotions it evoked were profound. I literally had to set the book down and have a good cry before I was able to pick it back up.

I almost cried after watching the English Patient. But I was not alone, so I had to hide my tears

I am a cry baby, so yes. I cried in Toy Story 3, Monsters University, so yeah, if a character I liked in the book dies, too expect me to cry.

I cried through the whole entire movie, and went through a whole box of tissues! I'm not sure if it was because I read the book first and knew what was going to happen (especially since the movie went almost exactly along with the book) but I couldn't stop crying!

My Sister's Keeper, is another book and movie that made me cry my eyes out!
I am not a fan of reading/watching movies that make me cry all the time, but sometimes you need a good cry

I can agree with you for the Fault in Our Stars. It is one of the movies that straight forward penetrates the heart.

Yes these movies are the one that make my heart dissolve. The storyline seems so real and so emotional.

When Sirius dies in Order of the Phoenix. It crushed me when I read it and Daniel Radcliffe’s reaction to his godfather dying in the movie had me SOBBING. Tears for book and movie :(

Of course. The example with the movie would be "Titanic". The book that made me cry was "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez.

I cry every time I watch a heartwarming movie and a motivational one worthy to snivelled with. But the most condescending part is, I laugh after realizing that I cried so hard. Lol
