The Hunger Games Series

I watched the movie first and I loved it,but when I read the book I was blown away by it,the book is more detailed than the movie.I love both the books and the movies but I will always love the book better.

I was impressed with the Hunger Game Series. The books are written in the first person from Katniss Everdeen's perspective. The movies take that further and create more backstories for the other characters that could not be included in the books. I loved both the books and the movies.

I actually saw the first two movies before reading the books. Then I was so impatient that I ended up buying the full series (with express delivery!) in order to know what happens next!

I must say that, while I loved both, I enjoyed the books more than the movies.

I feel 18 again.
I like the books, a lot, I have not read them since I was 17-18 years old (a lot of time, almost 10 years ago) but I believe that the movies complement the books very well as they give some backstory to characters like Peeta or Gale who we do not get to know that well as Katniss tells the story.

I have personally never read the book and have watched only the movies. But after reading y'alls opinions I think I might give the book a chance. It seems interesting

The novels are fantastic and easy to get into, owing to the fact that they are simple to read. Personally, I like the films. I believe that many essential themes and events from the novel were omitted; perhaps this was done to keep the movies shorter. The author and director, on the other hand, have done a fantastic job.

Well, I watched the movies first, and only then read the books, and I have to say, I liked the movies better than the books. It's not that the books are bad, it's just that, I felt like the movies showed more of the essence of the story and explained it better.

I agree with the fact that the movies did not do any favor to the books. Sincerely I didn't like the first movie at all, so I didn't even try to look into the next one.

I loved the 1st Hunger Games movie when it first came out but as the others were released, I didn’t enjoy them as much. Some of it was the acting but some was the storyline.

Unlike many people, I didn't feel fascinated by the series. At some scenes I felt as if the producers were forcing scenes. Part1 was the best.

I only ever saw the first two movies; I thought they were okay, but there wasn't enough drive and intrigue to continue watching the rest of the movies.

I have watched all the movie adaptations of books, but I've never read the actual books. To be honest, it's not surprising when the movie adaptation is not as good as the book or true to the content. Sometimes, the showrunners think it's better to change the content of the book for the movie adaptation for all sorts of reasons, which is understandable but always disappointing.

The series was a good adaptation of the books. Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss was a perfect choice.
