Series: Rectify

Okay, so this just got done last fall (and I only recently finished it), and I was just wondering if anyone else watched it?

For those who haven't, this is a really heavy series. It focuses on Daniel Holden, who's released from death row after nineteen years, due to DNA evidence. Having been on death row since the age of eighteen, Daniel has to deal with still being a suspect, and assumed guilt in small town, southern USA.
Daniel's guilt or innocence, while always present in the watcher's mind, isn't what this is about. This is about a man trying to find his way.

Daniel is one of the best characters I've ever encountered, and at some point, I swear, I'm going to watch this over and write down every quotable line from it, like this one:

It's the beauty, not the ugly, that hurts the most.
It is also one of the most beautifully filmed series I've seen. A specific scene from the first season is one of my favorites. I can't describe it and do it justice, but it's awe inspiring.

I often laughed, was angry, cried...
I can't recommend this enough.

And Aden Young as Daniel Holden is beyond my ability to describe. It couldn't have been an easy role to play, and isn't always easy to watch, but he did an incredible job.

I honestly believe the bulk of its (eventual) fan base has yet to watch it.

Grief is just love with no place to go.
