Pirates of the Caribbean
In my opinion, The Black Pearl and at World's End are tied for first because they are hilarious and still quite impacting.

As to why, I think the first one is just a great, fun adventure story. The problem with movies two and three is they went too grim and depressing. And what was up with the "piracy is good" thing? Though the biggest problem was that in the first the story centers on Will and Elizabeth, and Jack Sparrow is kind of in the background of it all. It's where he works best, but then for the next movies, they pretty much make him the main character.

1 was just so cleanly told, and later ones had messier and messier plots

I share you sentiments. I feel though that Dead Man's Chest and At World's End are one movie cut in half and made into two movies.Jaime Lync wrote:So, I just finished watching the last Pirates of the Caribbean film: Dead Men Tell No Tales. I don't want to give any spoilers I'm just curious which movie is your favourite in the series and why?
