Horror movies makes the whole experience more “horrorful” and that’s the better option because horror books is just limited to your imagination while horror movies gives the exact effect the author desires.

I tend to imagine the scenes on the book so it makes it less scarier, but the movie and its background sounds adds a little bit of chill. I don't scare easily so I actually prefer both

I love both. Especially when I read or watch em alone at night. Call me a sadist

Between a horro movie or horror book, I would a movie. It's just has that extra 'oomph' in it.
Let me make a suggestion: horror comics
Kind of like an in-between
I found some great ones on Webtoon. Some even add slight animation in them.

I definitely prefer watching horror movie than watching. The images and sound effects in a movie are magical.

I prefer horror movies. With horror books, my imagination gets to run wild, and that's way worse than just watching a horror movie.

I prefer a horror book to a horror movie. Horror book stays in your imagination but horror movies can make you scream seeing it happen

Absolutely horror movie vs. book. I haven't seen a horror movie in ages, but one of my favorites was "The Shining". A classic super scary movie!

Horror books. They win all the time. There's something about it that makes you feel like you're living the character, which is SO MUCH SCARIER!
