ALWAYS A BOOK! Books are so much better than movies or series. Filmmakers have a hard time competing against your imagination, and they have to change things from the book or leave parts out due to timing and screenplay issues. There is no comparison. Even the LOTR movies, which are fantastic, are nothing compared to the books.
