Read the book first then watch the movie late. In that case, you will have a deeper understanding of the story and characters.
Stay safe! Sending hugs

I'd do both, but watching movies kinda works better!

I definitely would pick movies or books. There is something exciting watching a book play out on your screen.

I prefer the book. However, I do like to see how movies adapt the book.

I prefer the books because I can read anywhere but in other cases the movie.

I like both. Many times I will first see a movie and then be intrigued and then go find the book that it was adapted from. Recently I saw The Maze Runner and decided to buy the complete book series. The first book was very similar to the movie but I felt that the books were much better overall because they went much further into descriptions and motivations of the characters.

I would prefere to do both since I love comparing those two but if I had to choose I think I would go with the book.

That depends on the title. If its a title like Davinci code, I prefer the book. If the title say Lord of the rings, then possibly the movie.

A book will always win over a movie/tv show to me. Books always have a ton more detail in them and I really miss that in the movies/shows when they make them. I will continue to watch the movies/shows, but I am more likely to reread a book than I am to re-watch a movie/show. Especially if the movie/show is based off of a book.

For any book/movie franchise, I always read the book first because I know that half the things that happen in the book won't be in the movie so I like to make up my own scenes in my head then watch the movie:)

Not always. My decision would not be binding. It depends on the individual stories whether the movies display it better or the books.

I always prefer to read the book than the movie because I usually find my imagination better than the movie.

If there’s a book that has been made into a movie I always read the book first. I’ve done that since my dad bought me the first Harry Potter book. I would read the book and afterwards the whole family would watch the movie with me.

The book opens your imagination as you're trying to project the words into reality. Movies already that for you (think for you). Most of all are visuals and we don't care about that. I'd have to say overall reading is better for us, but the movie industry would say otherwise!
