I'd pick a book any day of the week. The detail is amazing and your imagination is never something they can totally get right no matte how many special effects they use@

I prefer both, but definitely read more than I watch movies or series. I do get my days when I just want to be lazy and watch a movie, but then it will probably be a binge watching day and 2 weeks+ before that feeling hits again. Then I am only interested in books - during the day if I have a quiet moment at work, it is my ritual when I wake up in the mornings and before I go to bed at night.

Read the book. When I see a movie about a book I read, I always notice that they leave out a lot of details and I don’t really like that

I totally agree with this. My first choice will always be the books.

The book is almost always better than the movie, so if I had to choose I would read the book.

I prefer movie just because I get the jist of the story in a short space of time, but if I want to feel like I am somewhere else... I would definitely read.

It variates a lot with me. I might want to read a book for one and might want to watch a movie for another.

I prefer a movie to a book. The movie simplifies the book very well. It is easier to understand the movie as it makes everything summarized.

Yeah, it depends mainly to get the full background of the plot and character.

It depends. A good movie is the kind that gives life to the plot of the original story, not stiffle it. TV is considered “popular culture.” Anything that goes there has to reflect the realities or novelties of that sector. That causes a lot of noise, such as the case of the increasingly frequent accusations of cultural appropriation, whitewashing, inter alia. That’s why I personally prefer books, they don’t have all that noise.

I always prefer to read the book before watching a movie based on it. The mind can create pictures/video clips of the story as we read, and there are a myriad of small details that often don't make it into the movie due to time constraints and producer/director choices. That said, I do enjoy watching the movie after reading the book, just to see how the interpretation of the story varies from the book and my mind's eye!

ALWAYS A BOOK! Books are so much better than movies or series. Filmmakers have a hard time competing against your imagination, and they have to change things from the book or leave parts out due to timing and screenplay issues. There is no comparison. Even the LOTR movies, which are fantastic, are nothing compared to the books.

I prefer the book because it shows up more specific details. I like to be aware of those details to know the characters and the story in depth.
