I enjoy watching every genre's movies or shows.
But I like horror comedy the most.

“We live in a box of space and time. Movies are windows in its walls. They allow us to enter other minds, not simply in the sense of identifying with the characters, although that is an important part of it, but by seeing the world as another person sees it.” - Roger Ebert

I usually prefer romance, fantasy and young adult books to read, but while watching movies/series I prefer supernatural genre.

Nice thought-provoking question!

My favorite movie genre is action comedy like The Hitman's Bodyguard or Two Guns. Although I like action books that keep the story line going, I prefer to read self help or non fiction books.

Fantasy! I have tried over and over again to enjoy other genre’s, but I use books as distractions from my real life. Like many of you, if I wanted to live in the now, I don’t require a book about a crime thriller mystery to do so, I could simply check out my local news.

I am a sucjer for Sci-Fi, usually I try to branch out but something about a different dimension or a world that seems faltered just ticks all the boxes.

My tastes mostly overlap. I love reading fiction, crime and thriller. Same goes for the movies but I also love watching classics. They always bring out one's ability to appreciate little things in life.

When it comes to books, I read all genres. But I prefer thrillers and feel-good concepts while watching movies/series.

I love YA fiction. I have an academic background in English Lit and was surrounded by people who would rather pick up a classic than a contemporary YA novel but I always gravitate towards the latter.

I am a fan of psychological thrillers, mind-boggling, suspense, mystery, and horror movies. But for books, I like reading non-fiction, mainly self-help books.

Mine overlaps a lot. But when it comes to romance, I would much rather watch a movie than read the book.
