I have read now Peter Pan books to my kid, last one was Peter Pan in Scarlet and I think he would enjoy a Peter Pan movie as well. Which one is your favorite adaption of the lot?

There is this movie called "Pan" (Published in 2015) it is setted when Peter came to neverland and tells how he met Hook and how they actually became friends. It doesn't tell anything about the hatred between these two. That kina makes it special.

My personal favorite is Hook by Steven Spielberg. It's an authorized live action sequel, so I am not so sure it's fit for children to watch.
I think Pan could be a wonderful option for your son though. I hope he enjoys it!

You can't go wrong with Disney's 1953 classic animated film! It's probably one of my favorite Disney films from their "Golden" era, and your son will undoubtedly love it. Note: The song entitled "What Made the Red Man Red" might seem a tad racist today.
*Happy Reading, and God bless my friend.*

For me, nothing can beat the Disney movie. It manages to keep things light hearted, as opposed to the original Peter Pan book.

My favorites are Hook, Peter Pan (the 2003 version starring Jeremy Sumpter as Pan) and Finding Neverland, which is about J.M. Barrie and how he found inspiration to write the play. All are quite beautiful in my opinion.

Nothing beats the Disney movie for me. It truly is a classic. Also brings me a lot of nostalgia.

The Disney movie will always be my favorite. I grew up falling in love with Peter and I thought I could fly when I was a kid; good thing my mom stopped me before I could try. Hook is my second favorite ... I always wondered what was going to happen to Peter and Wendy, I love Robin Williams and with his Peter I had another wonderful trip to Never-land.

Did you mean
Hook?!

I think of all the adaptations I've seen--with exception to the Disney animated film--this is the best one. Great cast, great acting, and so quotable and fun.
Rufiooooooo!
I do agree that it might be aimed more toward adults or an older audience, depending on how old your kid is. But it's a fun adaptation all the same.

Even though I haven't seen it in awhile, my favorite is the 2003 live action version. I really liked enjoyed the visuals, acting, and writing for it. I also did enjoy the Disney versions as well, but liked the live action one more.

Hook by far is my favorite but without growing up on the Disney version it won't be the same. So I would go Disney first.

"Hook" by Steven Spielberg with great cast like Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, and Julia Roberts - is by far the best Peter Pan movie there is. Followed by Peter Pan (2003) and Pan (2015) respectively.

I loved Hook, but probably because that's what I saw as a child and it sticks with me. Great actors though.

I haven't seen Hook in so long, so I can't attest to that one. But, I have a sentimental attachment to Peter Pan (2003) and Finding Neverland. The score for Peter Pan (2003) is absolutely lovely and enchanting!
