The absolute first musical movie I saw was Mary Poppins, then The Sounds of Music. Well, that dates me. lol but I'll watch any musical and have probably seen them all including anything with Judy Garland or Julie Andrews.

Good choices! I was just in a production of Cats, was a good challenge and lots of dancing. We actually ended up doing the full version with Gus' opera and Growltiger's Last Stand.
Don't get me going on the most recent film version. But love the 1998 version!

My favorites are High School Musical and The Greatest Showman, both of which Zac Efron is one of the lead stars.

I love musicals. I luckily got to see Aladdin and Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. I think I've been hooked since childhood with Disney muscials.

I love musicals! I saw many already in London, there's usually some good last minute deals. The last ones I saw were The Lion King, School of Rock and We will rock you. All three simply amazing.

I’m a huge fan of musicals! Disney is my all-time favorite, but I also love classics like Wicked (which was the one Broadway musical I watched in New York), Phantom of the Opera, and Les Mis. I’ve only listened to the soundtracks of Hamilton, Hadestown, and The Lightning Thief, but I’d love to watch them in person.

I'm curious to know other opinions on the movie version of Cats. I thought it was enjoyable to watch because of the music and dancing, but the musical itself is meant to be performed live and should never have been made into a movie.

Oh yes! La La Land was so good. The plot was different and realistic and I liked how it ended. I also want to see Wicked someday.
