I read the series all in one holiday break. Originally, I planned to read one book, but I couldn't put them down. They were a page-turner. I loved the movies as well. Most books are better than their movie counterparts simply because the movies don't capture the details of the book. However, the movies of this series were exactly how the book described the scenes.

I first watched the movies and then read the books. The books are without a doubt incredible but the movie adaptation is also praise worthy.

I thought the first two movies were great but the third book was much better than the last two movies. My favourite film and book we’re catching fire. It has the best plot by far. However the entire concept is great so I can’t fault the story, just its portrayal.

I thought they both were awesome. I read the books after I watched the movies and loved them just as much. I actually watched the first movie and boycotted the others for a long time because I was mad when the little girl Rue died.

I loved the books and movies. But I think the books are better because many characters and events are not included in the movies. The movies were great too. It was nice to see my favorite characters come to life.

The book instalments are still part of my reading list! But from what my friends have told me, the movie that faithfully followed most of the book's plot is the second book. I'm not sure what you guys think but I'm hoping the books are better hahaha

The books are more interesting than the movies in my opinion. Peeta's character was caring, soft yet strong but in the movies, they made him look weak. They didn't show how Katniss and gale are similar in many ways. Many iconic lines didn't make it to the movies. But the movies are great too.

I love The Hunger Games, both the movies and the books. I became obsessed with them when I was a teenager and, to this day, they're one of my favorites young adult series. My favorite is the second book/movie Catching Fire, I believe it's where the series peaked. I was a bit disappointed when the third installment didn't quite reached its level, but I was mostly satisfied by the ending.

I think both the book series and the movies were exceptional. The first book was written in a slightly different tone. It sounded like it was for a very young audience. But that changed with the second book and so was very enjoyable.

I absolutely loved Catching Fire, which was why Mockingbird was very disappointing to me. The 3rd book completely disregarded the point of Katniss volunteering for the games. And don't even get me started with the movies. They were utterly boring and until now, I can't get through the 1st part of Mockingbird without falling asleep.

I’ve read the books and they were amazing. I think the creators of the movie did a very well job too in adapting the book.

I think the books were better at portraying the true atrocities of that society.

I was a huge fan of the books and was a bit skeptical when the movie came out because I didn't really like Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss (I changed my mind). I genuinely think that the hunger games series may be one of the best adaptations of a book since it says true to the authors work (maybe because she was quite involved in the screenplay)
