1. Deception Point by Dan Brown
2. Six Suspects by Vikas Swarup
3. Under the Dome by Stephen King
4. Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw
5. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (If some director has already been inspired by this book, let me know, I would love to catch up with the real life Heathcliff)
Pygmalion was made into a movie, for which Shaw wrote the screenplay. I think it was in 1938. And the most famous version of Wuthering Heights stars Laurence Olivier. I think that was also made in the 30s :)

I think almost every book I read should be a movie, but if a book does get transferred to film, it's usually not as good, and I end up cursing myself for having wanted it in the first place.

The Arrivals by Melissa Marr

I don't know how most people would feel about it as a movie but I think it could be visually amazing if done well.

I definitely think the Graceling realm trilogy deserves to be either a film or a tv series. The world is so awesome and the characters kick some major booty. I think it'd be really cool in film.

The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. I think the plot would make a great movie. Also, it's set in Australia and the setting would be great in a movie.

I agree with this! I loved these books! Well, the two I read, anyway! Especially the original one.

I would also like to see my beloved The Poppet and the Lune turned into an animated film. Maybe a Pixar like movie. That would be so good!

I think "Unwind" by Neil Shusterman deserves to be made into a film because it has ideal aspects of a movie; good character development, action-packed plot, dystopian society, and conveys morals relevant to people today. It would be remarkably similar to "The Giver' movie which received good feedback.

The film version of a book is always disappointing so I personally don't like to see a good book made into a movie. Hollywood has ruined 'The Count of Monte Cristo' on more than one occasion along with many other books, classic and modern. These days if I have read or am planning on reading the book I won't go see the movie.

A movie that might deserve to be made into a film is The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. I really like it because it ties in with some of his other novels, including 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

There are so many books I think should be movies it's hard to pick just one but if I had to pick I would want the HoN series to be made into movies. If you don't know what HoN stands for it's House of Night a vampyre series by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast.

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

It almost happened and still may. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! One of the things I liked best was the plot twist about Abby's past half way through. You know early on that she's hiding something, but when her father tracks her down, things get interesting. It makes the story more complex, and changes it from a college age romance to a possible future blockbuster, at least one I'd be in line for.
A book is a device to ignite the imagination.
