Best of Science Fiction and Fantasy

Post by tayjayfo »

Hi all,

I lead a science fiction and fantasy book club and need some good advice on a book for next month. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are looking for a book preferably less than 300 pages, but a bit over would be okay.

In the past we have read, Artemis, A Canticle for Leibowitz, Space Opera, and this month we are reading The Martian Chronicles.

Looking to add even more variety to the list. We have a fair number of people who enjoy post apocalyptic worlds and I personally like a good space adventure.

What have you got? Thanks in advance

I moved your post to the correct forum.

I recommend "Six Wakes" by Mur Lafferty, a great space adventure.

Are you looking for just stand alone novels, or would a series be ok?

I've always loved the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.

The first scifi book I feel in love with was Barcode Tattoo. It is aimed at a middle school audience if I remember correctly but was still very thought provoking and interesting.
