I think you should try this book "The Poetic Pacific" it's a collection of poetry I wrote from a mysterious world. It is not like a crime mystery but like research and investigative type of mystery. It's a work I developed whilst being elevated into a mysterious world.
I don't want to promote my book here, but if you are really into the mystery, you should check it out.
a musical mind!

I recommend the books of Michael Connelly and David Baldacci. Connelly has the Harry Bosch series going on. His first book is The Black Echo, which is very well written. Baldacci also touches on crime busting (Split Second) and thrillers/mystery (The Camel Club).

If you like the TV series Bones, it is based on books by Kathy Reichs! Some popular authors in this genre are Michael Connly, John Grisham and David Baccaldi. I personally love Ann Rule who writes true crime!

For books on crime and mystery, I recommend Steve Cavanagh. I discovered him in 2023 and since then, I've read over 15 of his books. You can start with "Thirteen", "Twisted" or any of his "Eddie Flynn Series". You're bound to get hooked, just like me.
