Post by Reader-Rachel »

I'm really in the mood for a specific type of book and having trouble finding something. Any one have suggestions for awesome fantasy books? Elves, assassins, lots of action!? Would love new suggestions. Thanks.

Daughter of the Drackan comes to mind. It sounds right along those lines.

Not sure if this is your type of book, but the Throne of Glass series is full of action, spies, definitely has alot of fairy types and magic in it as well.

Well, if you're into elves (outside of the Lord of Rings), you might enjoy faeries as well. Here's my strong recommendation: Stardust by Neil Gaiman. It's better than the movie and the book was created by a talented, gifted writer with an incredible imagination that will definitely capture your interest.

No elves, but some fantasy elements... have you read the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore? Lots of action and very interesting.

I personality would recommend The Little Brother by Victoria Patterson. It's a great book that involves two young brother growing up and having to face the results of their actions. Though I should say that this book centers around a rape crime but I think it's a good read.
