Ghost stories, please?
Preferably Victorian era in England! Doesn't have to be, but please NOT nowadays... no technology, no mobile phones, no social media, no computers, no cinnamon lattes!
I'm looking for old fashioned ghosts, creepy old houses, terrible family secrets!
Any suggestions?

Set in the 1950s, but quite excellent.

Also, 'The Old Nurse's Story' by Elizabeth Gaskell. It's a haunted house tale spanning generations.
